Tips & Hints:
This Power Supply will deliver 8 amps continuous power and 10 amps surge. T-1 can be made from an old microwave transformer by removing the old secondary winding (high voltage winding) being careful not to damage the primary winding. After the Old secondary winding is removed wrap 20 turns of a pair of 16 ga. magnet wire make certain that each turn is lined up and that it is tight. This will help reduce humming noise from the transformer. Magnet wire is available at your local motor repair service relatively cheap!
R1 can be made by using 3 10 watt .2 ohm
resistors in parallel available from Newark
Electronics.
